Frequently asked questions.

What is fascia?

Fascia is a web-like connective tissue that helps give support and glide to the structures of the body. It really is so amazing! It incases everything from viscera to individual muscles and muscle groups. Some of our main structures are made from thicker bands of fascia, such as our IT Band and Lumbar Fascia. Our fascia actually has more sensation/perception cells than our muscles! If you’re curious about bodywork involving fascia this podcast is one of my favorites: https://advanced-trainings.com/thinking-practitioner-podcast-ep-71-fascia-and-pain/

Where are you located?

The treatment room in located at 716 SW 11th St, Redmond Oregon.

What are your Covid-19 precautions?

Your safety is my priority. Helping prevent the spread of disease are forefront at the offices I practice in. I sanitize with a OHA approved sanitizer between clients. I ask that anyone feeling under the weather to please cancel their appointment, as I will do the same. At this time, masks are optional, I don’t mind wearing one by your request. I keep masks on hand in case you prefer one and forgot one or would like me to wear one. Mask or no mask, no judgement here.

Do I have to remove all of my clothes?

Absolutely not! Being comfortable is a priority to the healing process, I encourage you to do what you are comfortable with. I am trained to work clothed people, or unclothed. Myofascial Techniques work go great with sports shorts, sports bra, clothes you can move in. For those who prefer to be undressed completely as with traditional massage, I am trained to drape appropriately to cover the chest and private areas, by law.

Why don’t you accept tips?

Since I own my own business, I really don’t need to rely on tips to sustain! Instead I prefer dialing in my prices where I need them to make a living. Thanks for being curious!
